8th-Grade Dance

The 8th-Grade Farwell Dance is a time to celebrate and enjoy a special evening with your friends. We are pleased to announce that this year it will be held at the Rainbow Gardens!
The Rainbow Gardens is located around the corner from Hyde Park on Charleston and we’ll be in the Garden Room.

The cost of this event is $45. This includes a beautiful location, with a complimentary photo booth, chocolate fountain, Hors D’Oeuvres, soda bar, music and a special memento.

Tickets will be sold before and after school and during all three lunches in Room 204 or 208 from April 3-10th. Students must return the attached permission slip with their $45.
Spaces are limited so buy your tickets early!

After-School Clubs, Activities, and Supervision

Students, please remember that there are no clubs or activities offered after school on Mondays and Fridays, so all students should be off campus by 2:15 pm, as there is no adult supervision available. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, students attending clubs and activities, such as tutoring, or staying after school with a teacher, must remain in the club, activity or with the teacher until 3:30 pm or earlier if they are picked up. Students not riding the late bus must be picked up and off campus by 3:45. Additionally, students may not leave campus and then return to campus after school to ride the late bus or be picked up. Students not following these rules may lose their after-school activity privileges.

CCSD Technology Survey

Parents and Students,

The CCSD is asking for our help with the statewide study: State Educational Technology Needs Assessment (SETNA). In accordance with NRS 388.795, an educational technology needs assessment must occur every spring of even-numbered years. The results influence state educational technology initiatives for the next two years.

Hyde Park Students attend CCSD Spelling Bee Luncheon

8th-Grade Field Trip

On Saturday, April 28, 2018, the annual Hyde Park 8th-grade field trip will take place. Students will be traveling to Universal Studios to spend the entire day together. All students going must be in good standing with the discipline office and purchase their tickets through Student Council. Ticket sales run from February 23-25, 2018 at all 3 lunches. The cost is $165.00 and includes park ticket, 8th-grade t-shirt, and a light snack. The price is NON-REFUNDABLE. All students wanting to attend must complete the attached paperwork and turn it in with their deposit.

HPMS Student WINS International Math Competition

8th-grade student Sam Goodman is the youngest person ever to win the International Math Competition; Who wants to be a Mathematician. Sam competed in San Diego CA. during the weekend of January 13-14th and became the youngest ever champion. We have included a link to the competition video that was posted to Youtube. Chamber Orchestra heads to Chicago

The HPMS Chamber Orchestra led by Mr. Woolstenhulme is taking part in the prestigious Midwest Clinic for Band and Orchestra, in Chicago IL. This clinic is a highlight for any performance group and requires a great amount of time and dedication. Please check this link and the Orchestra page for videos from this trip.
