Online Registration is Open - ALL Families Must Register

Dear Hyde Park Middle School Parents and Guardians,

On April 19, 2021, Clark County School District opened Online Registration (OLR) for the 2021-2022 school year. Please complete the OLR process no later than May 21, 2021, by following this link

https://ccsd.net/parents/online-registration.php

As part of the registration process, you will have two (2) choices for your child listed and explained below. In order to better understand the difference between these two educational settings, please read the information below to help you make the best educational decision for your child:

I want my child to participate in full-time face-to-face instruction five days a week for the 2021-2022 school year period. I understand my child will attend daily instruction at the school site.
This will be run as a traditional, face-to-face school setting. (any mandates regarding face-masks, distancing, and safety protocols will be followed)

I want my child to participate in full-time distance education for the 2021-2022 school year. I acknowledge and understand the guidance documents related to full-time distance education.

The ability to change a selected instructional model will be limited and will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
The Student takes responsibility for their learning process.
The student has strong time-management skills.
The student is goal-oriented.
The Student can independently communicate with their teachers.
The Student must have a dedicated space at home with limited distractions.
The Student must actively participate with his/her camera ON during all real-time sessions and stay for the duration of the class.
Real-time sessions take place during the school’s instructional day and are mandatory for all distance learning students.
The school administration has the right to change a student from distance education to face-to-face instruction if the student is not demonstrating academic progress.
The student will need to report to school on days of district and state-mandated testing, but no transportation will be provided for these activities.
Some students with specified IEPs may need to attend therapy and related services at the school.
Students in full-time distance education can still receive meals at school at no cost during meal distribution times.

CCSD and the Library District Team-up

The Clark County School District is collaborating with public libraries on the Summer Challenge. Students should continue building literacy skills by reading for at least 30 minutes daily. Students can win prizes. Contests run through July 31, 2021.

• If a student does not return their Chromebooks, a fine will be charged for the full cost of the device, approximately $300.00. That fine may prevent a student from graduating from a CCSD School.
• When Chromebooks are returned, they will be inspected for any damage.
• Students will be fined for any damage to the device.
• Fines and payments can be paid at the school bank with cash or credit card only.
• Chromebooks need to be fully charged and logged in at the time of drop-off.
