CCSD Magnet High School Information

This page is dedicated to providing HPMS Students with the information provided to us by the various CCSD Magnet and Career and Tech High Schools.

Any 8th grade student who is looking to attend a program in high school needs to fill out an application through magnet.ccsd.net.

The deadline to apply to Magnet, Career and Technical Academy, and Select School Programs will be early 2024.

High School Selection Process

All high school programs fall into three categories:

Interest Based Programs
Audition Based Program
Criteria Based Programs.

Students and families are encouraged to do extensive research into the program(s) they are interested in. Even though there are high school programs that do not have criteria for acceptance, there are criteria that needs to be met and maintained to continue to participate in the program after selection.

For programs at Las Vegas Academy of the Arts and at Del Sol Academy Academy of the Performing Arts, auditions are required. For more information regarding the audition process, please click the links below:

High School Programs Application Process

Apply online at magnet.ccsd.net. A new, online account needs to be created each year.

Select up to 3 programs on the application. Rank order your choices.
Students apply to Magnet, CTA, and Select schools on 1 application.
The deadline to apply to Magnet, Career and Technical Academy, and Select School Programs will be early 2024.

Magnet/CTA/Select School Transportation Information

Schools with programs are divided into transportation zones. While any student can apply, students wishing to receive transportation must reside with in the school's transportation zone and live further than two miles from a school per CCSD regulation 3531.

Specific transportation eligibility can be checked through CCSD's transportation website.

In the drop down menu titled "Please select a program" choose CTA and Select Magnet (w/Phase Out) to list all schools your address is eligible to receive transportation.
