CCSD Magnet High School Information

This page is dedicated to providing HPMS students with information about the various CCSD Magnet and CTA options available for high school. 


Any 8th-grade student interested in attending a magnet or CTA program in high school must complete the online application at magnet.ccsd.net.


The deadline to apply for any CCSD magnet or CTA program is Tuesday, January 13, 2026, by 3:00 p.m.

High School Application Process

Complete your application at magnet.ccsd.net.

  • Select up to three programs; rank your choices in order of preference.
  • You can only complete one application (three program choices).
  • For high school, you will apply by program, not school. Be sure you select the correct programs on your application.

The application deadline for the 2026-2027 school year is Tuesday, January 13, 2026.


High School Selection Process


All high school programs fall into one of the following categories:


  • Interest-Based Programs ~ seats are determined by a blind, computerized lottery. There are no grade requirements for these programs.

  • Criteria-Based Programs ~ these programs have grade requirements to qualify for the lottery; seats are determined by a blind, computerized lottery from the qualified applicant pool. Transportation Information

While students can apply to any Magnet/CTA program, those requiring transportation must reside within the school’s transportation zone and live more than two miles from the school, as per CCSD regulation 3531.
