Good afternoon parents. A new club, the After School All Stars, is starting on Tuesdays. This club is designed to help 6th and 7th graders become acclimated to middle school life. The club will focus on making positive choices, goal setting, making friends, and having fun! The After School All Stars is free to all and meets in room 206 every Tuesday from 2:01-3:30 p.m. A late bus is available. Thank you!

Attached is a listing of current after school activities being held at Hyde Park MS. This list does not include individual tutoring or homework help sessions. All students attending after school activities must be picked up by 3:30 p.m. or know their late bus route and be eligible for riding the late bus based on CCSD transportation guidelines.

Time is running out to get your Hyde Park spirit gear! The last day to order is Wednesday, September 16th. Class t-shirts are $10 and Hyde Park hoodies are $25. Students can purchase them during all three lunches or in room 208.

In an effort to recognize the importance of respect and kindness, Hyde Park will have their first Spirit Week 9/28 - 102/15. Students are encouraged to show their spirit by dressing based on the daily theme. Also, Friday, October 2nd is Blue Day and all students and staff are asked to wear blue clothes as a show of solidarity against bullying.

Monday- Peace Signs
Tuesday- Dress for respect (dress up)
Wednesday- Tie Dye Day
Thursday- Flower and Bow day. Buy a rose for a friend for $1
Friday- Get Your BLUE on (wear blue...lots o' blue)

The 2015 Nevada Legislature authorized bond rollover legislation that will provide approximately $4.1 billion in revenue for capital expenditures over the next 10 years to the CCSD. Please complete the attached survey to give input on how the district should consider allocating the funds.

In lieu of a school wide fundraiser where students are asked to sell products and return the money to school, Hyde Park has established a website where parents can make a charitable donation that will be used to fund various school wide programs and assist our teachers with necessary supplies. Please see the attached letter for more information on how you can help support the amazing programs at Hyde Park.

All students will report to their homeroom on Monday, August 24th to receive their schedule. Academy students begin at 7:00 a.m. and Zoned students begin at 7:50 a.m.

The first day of school for the 2015 - 2016 school year begins on Monday, August 24th. Start time for students enrolled in the Academy for Math and Science is 7:00 a.m. and start time for students in our zoned program is 7:50 a.m. Students must be in their class when the first bell rings or they will be considered tardy. All students are dismissed at 2:01 p.m. Students are not to remain on or around campus after school is dismissed.

All students will receive their schedule on the first day of school during a special homeroom class. Homerooms will be setup by grade level and student last name and will be displayed throughout the school campus.
