·         Mask Artist Statement handout

·         Pencils

·         Colored pencils

·         Decorations: sequins, feathers, string, leather, fabric, etc.

·         Hot glue/Elmer’s

·         Masks powerpoint

·         Computer

·         Projector

·         Paper mache masks

1.      Introduce students to the artist statement (step seven in the mask powerpoint)

2.      Model to students on how to fill out the artist statement. You can use your own demo examples.

3.      Pass out masks to students.

4.      Allow students time to finish decorating their masks.

5.      When students finish, they will work on writing and filling out the artist statement handout.
