Making the decision to apply to and attend a magnet school is an important one. The Hyde Park Academy experience is a unique educational opportunity but one that is difficult to explain in a few sentences.
The most authentic assessment can be made by attending one of our Parent Information Meetings. At these meetings, current students will provide you and your child with descriptions of their experiences in the Academy. In addition to describing classroom activities, they will also relate the opportunities available through the many clubs offered, where they have been able to apply their learning. Parents of current students will provide firsthand information about having children attend the Academy. Our Parent Information Meetings are posted on the Academy Calendar and Hyde park main calendar,
We appreciate the sacrifice that each family makes in order to have a child attend our Academy. While the program is very fulfilling for your child, we want to be certain that we have made you aware of exactly what the program entails.
As our students are actively engaged in pursuing their education during the school day, we request that all tours be taken after the school day.
